Minister of State Inaugurates Nursing College at University of Sargodha

Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, inaugurated the Nursing College at the University of Sargodha. He attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Member of the Punjab Assembly Mansoor Azam Sindhu, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, university deans, directors, and heads of teaching and administrative departments were also present.
After the inauguration, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad visited the classrooms, laboratories, and other facilities of the Nursing College. Addressing the ceremony, he said that Pakistan faces a shortage of trained nursing staff, while nursing plays a backbone role in the healthcare sector. He expressed satisfaction that the University of Sargodha would play a vital role in meeting this national need.
He congratulated the Vice Chancellor and the university administration on the establishment of the Nursing College, adding that institutions like Sargodha University can put Pakistan on the path of progress in education and healthcare. He also appreciated the ongoing academic and research growth of the university, describing it as a strong hub of higher education and research in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas said that the Nursing College is being equipped with modern medical facilities and state-of-the-art academic and practical training resources so that students may contribute effectively to the healthcare sector both nationally and internationally. 
He highlighted that the establishment of the college would significantly help overcome the shortage of trained nursing staff in Pakistan. He further announced that a modern hospital would soon be launched at the University of Sargodha with the collaboration of China.
During his visit, the Minister of State also visited the university’s multipurpose hall, Waheed Wain Incubation Center, UOS TV, Wazir Agha Library, gymnasium, and cafeterias. He praised the infrastructure, modern facilities, and academic environment of the university, remarking that its rapid progress is commendable and that the institution is playing a prominent role in advancing higher education.
