The 74th (02/2026) meeting of the Syndicate of the University of Sargodha was held at the Committee Room, MPH, under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas.
On the recommendations of the Finance and Planning Committee, the Syndicate approved the proposal and agreement for establishing an offshore campus in China, subject to further approval from the Government of Punjab and HEC.
The Syndicate also approved key recommendations of the Academic Council, including amendments to Graduate Semester Regulations and the internship framework, adoption of the Higher Education Commission Pakistan PSG 2023 Quality Framework, uniform offering of general education courses at the undergraduate level, and the introduction of a new course on Artificial Intelligence in line with HEC guidelines. It also approved the recommendation for launching joint degree programmes in collaboration with universities in the United Kingdom to strengthen international academic engagement and learning opportunities for students.
The meeting further discussed and approved several administrative matters related to faculty and staff.
