University of Sargodha Conducts 51st Advanced Studies and Research Board Meeting

The University of Sargodha held the 51st meeting of Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) at the Committee Room Multipurpose Hall.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas chaired the meeting and commended the Academic Office and the Registrar’s Office for convening the meeting in a timely manner and ensuring effective administrative follow-up.

Registrar Waqar Ahmad presented the agenda. A total of 60 agenda key points were placed before the board, including evaluation reports for the issuance of degrees to 33 PhD scholars.

The board also approved the appointment of PhD supervisors in accordance with the Higher Education Commission’s Graduation Policy 2023. Additionally, research topics and supervisor appointments for Level 7 and Level 8 programmes were endorsed.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Qaiser Abbas said the University of Sargodha had consistently ensured timely decision-making and implementation of academic policies. He added that all approvals granted in the meeting strictly adhered to HEC guidelines and merit, contributing to improvements in the university’s quality of education and research output.

Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan congratulated the Vice Chancellor on the university’s recent progress and improvement in QS rankings, and also acknowledged the Registrar’s Office for its role in organizing the ASRB meeting without delay.
