The Business Incubation Center, University of Sargodha organized the Future Innovator Contest 2025 under the umbrella of Second Annual Research Arena.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Muhammad Iqbal Hussain Khan, High Commissioner Bangladesh in Pakistan along with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, and Ms. Ishrat Jahan, Political Secretary, Embassy of Bangladesh in Pakistan.
Addressing the participants, Muhammad Iqbal Hussain Khan lauded the University of Sargodha for providing an effective platform like Research Arena to promote research and innovation, and highly appreciated the quality, relevance, and strong market potential of the showcased projects.
Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas appreciated the innovative spirit of students and emphasized the university’s commitment to promoting research, entrepreneurship, and industry linkage through platforms like Research Arena.
The exhibition highlighted contemporary innovations, including an IT-based cybersecurity solution to prevent hacking, a University AI Chatbot for accurate, data-driven campus information, and an IoT-based gas leak detection and automated power cut-off system ensuring early alerts, safety automation, and emergency response.
Sustainability-focused projects featured an IoT-enabled smart fish farming system to reduce losses and mortality, and AI-driven smart irrigation (Agronex) offering disease detection, temperature monitoring, and automated alerts. Other innovations included energy-efficient smart circuits, footstep-based energy harvesting technology, and composite auto parts fabrication.
The contest also showcased AI-powered SME solutions like BeTEL alongside creative and entrepreneurial ventures including clothing brands, handmade crafts, organic food products, interior design, and digital media services.
