The Department of Sports Sciences secured multiple top positions in both the girls’ and boys’ categories during the 24th Sports Gala competitions underway at the University of Sargodha.

According to the results released, the department’s girls’ teams clinched first positions in cricket, volleyball, handball, futsal and basketball, while finishing second in tug of war.

In the boys’ category, the department won first position in shooting volleyball. Its cricket and handball teams have advanced to the semi-finals, whereas the basketball team secured second position.

In-charge of the Department of Sports Sciences Dr Yasir Iqbal Waraich expressed satisfaction over the performance and appreciated the efforts of students and faculty members.
