UoS Students Showcase Creative Vision in Interdepartmental Photography Contest

A photography competition was organised at the University of Sargodha under the banner of the Riaz Shad Co-Curricular Forum as part of its interdepartmental literary contests, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their artistic vision and creative skills.

Students from various departments participated in the event, capturing through their lenses the academic environment, lush green campus and the overall spirit of the university.

The competition was judged by Public Relations Officer Faisal Javed. According to the results, all three top positions were secured by students of the College of Pharmacy, including Manahel Iqbal, Hafiz Muhammad Arsalan and Ayesha Abid.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Faisal Javed said photography was not merely about taking pictures but a refined art rooted in keen observation, creativity and effective communication. 

He noted that in the contemporary era, photography offered viable career opportunities while also serving as a powerful medium to promote social awareness encourage positive values and highlight societal issues.

He appreciated the participants’ work, observing that their images reflected not only technical skill but also depth of perception and a constructive message.

Assistant Director of the Riaz Shad Co-Curricular Forum, Daim Iqbal, said co-curricular activities played a vital role in the holistic development of students.

He encouraged students to actively engage in such platforms, adding that these experiences helped polish their abilities and lay the foundation for a confident and successful future.
